Pros and cons of Menu Planner app for iPhone and iPad

Menu Planner app good for

Quite long to customize for first use, but then, very pleasant to use
This is a great app - I love the shopping list and the fact that it can plan all your meals, plus snacks! It is fairly easy to use and to navigate around. One essential item missing, you cannot copy and paste recipes from your own favourite websites, just from the selected few they have on the app. So you have to enter in all your recipes, by hand before you can start planning! This can take some time! If you could also copy and paste recipes from e-books that would help. It would be great if they could fix this - then I would definitly give it a 5 star!
After you figured it out it is very easy. I love it. We need to be able to print the calendar from the website though... But its the best Menu Planner that I could find. I use it all the time.
Not only is this app crazy simple to use!! It has not crashed or frozen like someone else suggested "keeps happening" there are tons of recipes you can access although adding your own would be a great bonus that I would expect will be added! Worth the little money it is, and I expect this will become my favorite app in no time at all!!!!
Crashes on me now and then, but overall a great tool. I would like if i could do my menu plan through the website, or print my grocery list.
I find it so easy to use. I subscribe to several foodie sites, and this app makes it easy to upload my fav recipes from there = easier to plan. My husband even knows where to find my recipes now :) awesome for shopping bc if I want to throw something together, I always have my recipes with me!

Some bad moments

The App might be very slick, but the number of taps to create a weekly meal plan is way to high. This is especially true, when you are adding new meals to a plan. An advice to the developers: study the great ShopShop, take its spirit and go back to the drawing board.
It takes forever to do anything because theres 30 steps to do 1 thing. Needs to be more unstructured so people can use it how they like. Not logical to use.
I like parts of the app, like being able to add recipes off the web. I was lead to believe it would be easy to track calories with the app but it is frustratingly difficult. I have to add each food and its calorie count individually, even basic fruits and vegetables. The initial database has few foods and no nutritional info included. Im looking for an app that can do the pantry tracking, recipe organizing, let me build my own recipes and weekly/monthly menus, WITH the ability to track the nutritional info. If you added a database with nutritional info for basics (fruits, veg, brand names, etc) and allowed users to add their own when needed, this app would be great. As it is I have to create my recipes in Sparkpeople to get the nutritional info, import that to the meal planner, then add each ingredient to my pantry along with its calorie count, before I can begin to setup my menus.
Trying to set up my recipes. Every time i try to add an ingredient the app crashed. Very disappointed!
Its an okay app if all your looking for is what you want for your groceries, but if your wanting something to aid you in weight loss or watching calories this app doesnt work unless your willing to put in the work to enter every recipe and foods calories manually. Nutrition is also ignored. As bad as that sounds as London as your willing to be your own nutritionist this app will work great.
Too many features, too much stuff, too complex. Not very user friendly. It seems like it does pretty much everything youd want, but no way Ill use this on a daily basis.
